The ISL is a ground-breaking global professional team competition that is revolutionizing the sport of swimming in its first season.

Male and female swimmers are competing to win points for their clubs in five regular season and derby matches across Europe and the United States in October and November.

Each team brings a roster of up to 14 men and 14 women to their respective matches, with the teammates’ joint points tallies (not medals or times) earning their team its placing in the overall league table.

The top four clubs (two U.S., two European) will advance to the Grand Final where they will compete to become the inaugural ISL Champions.

The innovative format for the opening season has seen 8 clubs (Cali Condors, DC Trident, Aqua Centurions, Energy Standard, LA Current, NY Breakers, Iron, and London Roar) competing in Indianapolis, IN., Naples ITA, Lewisville TX., and Budapest HUN in October, with U.S. and European derby matches set to take place in College Park MD., and London GBR in November.

Approximately 75 percent of all current Olympic and World Champions are competing in the league, led by the 10 ISL ambassadors, Nathan Adrian, Cate Campbell, Caeleb Dressel, Katinka Hosszu, Katie Ledecky, Florent Manaudou, Ryan Murphy, Adam Peaty, Federica Pellegrini and Sarah Sjostrom.

Men and women share equal prize money and media attention as they go to battle for their respective clubs. The ISL is engaging sports fans with fast-paced two-hour matches, cutting-edge television production, including a unique camera plan and behind-the-scenes access, and a never-before-seen live show.
