WORLDHOTELS HONOURS GOTHIA TOWERS CEO FOR INSPIRED LEADERSHIP

Frankfurt, 19 October 2015 – Worldhotels has awarded Daniel Stenbäck, CEO and Managing Director of the Gothia Towers in Gothenburg, with its Leadership Award 2015. Geoff Andrew, Worldhotels COO, presented the award at this year’s Leadership Conference in Chicago Illinois.

In his speech, Andrew praised Stenbäck’s exemplary leadership style, which has been described by staff members as demanding, yet empowering to the individual employee. Stenbäck has proven be as results-oriented as he is invested in the process and values to get there.

As Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Gothenburgs Gothia Towers, Stenbäck heads up Europe’s largest hotel and congress centre with 1.200 hotel rooms and suites, several popular restaurants and bars, and more than 40.000 square metres of space for conferences, congresses, parties, events, fairs and shows.
The Leadership Award was created by Worldhotels to honour the work of remarkable people whose extraordinary achievements as individuals as well as leaders have positively impacted the tourism industry. With the award, Worldhotels aspires to showcase leaders who inspire.

The award is traditionally presented at the Worldhotels International Leadership Conference, an annual event held by the hotel group for its General Managers and hotel owners.

Past recipients include Sir Rocco Forte, Johanna Frangano, Managing Director of the Hotel Quirinale in Rome, and most recently, Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong, owner of the One World Hotel Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
