The next chapter of Apollo Automobil  has arrived and it’s a pure unadulterated, sensory experience

The Apollo IE, a car that is a feast for the senses, a car with a soul, a car that lives and breathes with intense emotions.

After many months of pure dedication, Apollo Automobil is happy to announce that the Apollo IE, its flagship
\r\nhyper-car, is ready to meet the world.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Last year a new chapter of Apollo commenced. We wanted to build a car that was lightweight, aerodynamically
\r\nefficient and connected, yet unimpeded by any emotionally dilutive technological systems.
\r\n"We felt that all the technological advancement and automation in today's supercars took away the pure, raw
\r\nemotional connection between driver and car," commented Norman Choi, Apollo Chairman. "We wanted to build a
\r\ncar that would fill that void separating car and driver. So we built the Apollo IE."<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We were able to achieve our goal while still implementing a modern, intensively striking design language that
\r\nsymbolizes the brand. Pushing the boundaries of design, engineering and extensive applications of exotic
\r\nmaterials.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\nBRAND IDENTITY<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Tracing our roots back to 2004, we are a group of pure car enthusiasts, some of us engineers, some artisans,
\r\ndesigners and mechanics. We came together because of something that we share – the passion for
\r\nautomotive art, the longing for the connection between driver and car and the desire to provide a bespoke and
\r\nemotional driving experience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Over the last decades of automotive history, car manufacturers have gone to great lengths in applying
\r\ntechnological advancements to improve both the performance and comfort of cars. However, somewhere along
\r\nthe way something was left behind.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

All the automation that is meant to make the driver's job "easier" has taken something fundamental away.
\r\nSomething that made up the roots that created the passion, drive and automotive culture and history that we
\r\nhave all learned to love. That pure, raw, emotional connection that binds driver and car.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Just like the Greek God Apollo, we see ourselves as a beacon of light in today's market. We are here to take you
\r\non a ride that is filled with nostalgia and sensory overload without sacrificing performance or speed and still
\r\npushing forward with a modern, intensively striking design language that symbolizes the brand. We are here to
\r\nfill that void separating car and driver. We are here to bring you home to be at one with the car.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Why do we want to challenge the norm and take the path less travelled? Not only because we can, because a

—THE APOLLO IE—<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Apollo IE marks the return to the truest, most organic form of the hyper-car. Created from a blank sheet of
\r\npaper, the IE is the beginning of the next chapter of Apollo. Our flagship hyper-car that represents the ethos of
\r\nthe brand.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

From the beginning, our team set out to build a car that is lightweight, aerodynamically efficient and connected,
\r\nbut unimpeded by any emotionally dilutive technological systems. During the course of achieving this goal we
\r\npoured in heart and soul, sweat and tears. The journey itself was intensely emotional.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The IE is a superleggera that combines the aerodynamic efficiency and mechanical grip of a modern GT1\/GT3\/
\r\nLMP race car with the classical thrill of a high-revving naturally aspirated V12. This car has an organic
\r\ngranularity that other modern hyper-cars strive for, but are unable to deliver. All this while featuring a modern,
\r\nintensively striking design language that symbolizes the brand.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This is a car that captures the lost emotion and fading spirit of the cars we grow up loving.
\r\nA car with its own soul. A car that provides the driver with modern, yet nostalgically pure, unadulterated

—THE NAME—<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Intensa Emozione","The Ethos of Apollo
\r\nQuite literally, "Intensa Emozione" means intense emotion. These two simple words carry great significance –
\r\nthey are the backbone of everything we do, they describe the journey we trekked, they are the final product of
\r\nour passion.
\r\nWe want Apollo to be known as a brand with passion, ideal and demands. Not only have we built a hyper-car
\r\nwith world class performance, but we made certain that this machine is a true event to drive. Our intense
\r\nemotions motivated and inspired us.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

—DESIGN—<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Apollo IE embarks on a new chapter to ground an intensively striking design language that symbolizes the
\r\nbrand. Pushing the boundaries of design, engineering and extensive applications of exotic materials. The IE's
\r\nradical body surfaces are sculpted for tremendous efficiency and highly optimized functionality, reflecting and
\r\ninspired by tactile fighter jets to apex predators such as sharks and raptors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The body of the IE narrates the language of the movement of airflow. The idea of the IE is to pierce through and
\r\nmanipulate the air around and also through the vehicle. The convergence of the body panels illustrates radical
\r\ndepth of surfaces and stunning continuity of the body lines. A narrow teardrop shaped glass house allows the
\r\nIE to achieve its stunning, bold and balanced proportions. Acuate creases and exposed wheels facilitates
\r\nprecise streamlining of airflow whilst resulting in a lightweight appearance grounded by powerful stance.
\r\nStructural supports such as the rear spine and wing mounts are designed in order to achieve and sustain over
\r\n1350 kgs of downforce.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Every part of the Apollo IE is designed for highly functional purposes with a radical approach on style.
\r\nProminent elements such as the striking shark like nose, distinctive side aero fins, large angled wing mounts
\r\nand the trident exhausts, make it instantly recognizable as an Apollo.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

—CHASSIS AND MATERIALS—<\/p>\r\n\r\n

From the early stages of this project we knew that we wanted and needed to remain true to our core. We
\r\nwanted to create a modern chassis for the next-generation. Utilizing advanced technologies and composite
\r\nmaterials we were able to create a state of the art, bespoke, all-carbon fibre chassis which allows for maximum
\r\ntorsional rigidity, safety and the ability to create a lightweight and aerodynamically efficient shape.
\r\nThe chassis consists of not only a carbon monocoque, but also incorporates carbon fibre front and rear
\r\nsubframes. This has allowed us to create more organic surfaces and a tighter packaging, which in return has a
\r\npositive correlation to its robust aerodynamic efficiency.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The entire chassis, including the monocoque, front and rear subframes has a total weight of a mere 105kg.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

SAFETY<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Safety remains the utmost importance to us and with that in mind nothing was sacrificed. The Apollo IE
\r\nfeatures bespoke carbon fiber front crash structures, which up until today, have usually been reserved for only
\r\nthe pinnacle of motorsports such as Formula One.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

SUSPENSION<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The IE features Formula One inspired double wishbone with full push-rod and rocker arm architecture on both
\r\nthe front and rear, along with adjustable anti-roll bars. The dampers are provided by Bilstein and are adjustable
\r\nby the driver in three modes (Comfort, Sport, Auto).<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In addition, the design of the suspension and components selected allow for a personal tuning and modification
\r\nfor each client. We allow our clients the ability to develop their own bespoke suspension setup.
\r\nThe development of the suspension system was designed to achieve maximum performances, but also carry a
\r\ntargeted level of refinement in order to provide a capable, yet reliable driving experience. One which permits the
\r\ndriver to have full control of comfort and performance levels with electronic damper adjustability at their
\r\nfingertips and the practicality of an Electro-Hydraulic lifter system that can raise the vehicle height by 50 mm
\r\nup to 30 kph front and rear. All this was achieved while also incorporating a pneumatic quick-lift system with 4
\r\nair-jacks for easy pit-service operations in order to allow the IE to partake in serious circuit events and our Time
\r\nAttack Program (to be released at a later date).<\/p>\r\n\r\n

BRAKES<\/p>\r\n\r\n

A partner of Apollo, Brembo has always delivered outstanding performance and remains at the top of its
\r\nsegment. The IE uses a new Brembro carbon ceramic (CCM) system with 380x34 mm and a 6-piston caliper in
\r\nthe front and 380x34 mm, 4-piston caliper at the rear.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

TYRES<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Michelin is our official tyre supplier and partner. We work together to help identify and develop the optimal tyres
\r\nto extract maximum performances from the IE. The Michelin tyres pair well with the Apollo IE and allow the car
\r\nto achieve lateral forces in excess of 2G.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

—POWERTRAIN—<\/p>\r\n\r\n

ENGINE<\/p>\r\n\r\n

No turbos. No hybrid systems. A proper balance of old and new.
\r\nThe Apollo IE is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3 liter V12 engine. This ICE unit produces in excess of
\r\n780hp and 760nM of torque. The power unit was developed in partnership with our partner, Autotecnica Motori,
\r\nand revs to 9,000rpm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The IE features three engine Map-modes selected by the driver: Wet, Sport, Track – The selection is indicated
\r\non "Engine Map page" on main Display.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The decision to refrain from using any emotionally dilutive technological systems, such as hybridization, was
\r\nmade to deliver a modern, yet nostalgically, pure, unadulterated sensory experience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

GEARBOX<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The power and torque of the Apollo IE is transmitted through a longitudinal Hewland sequential 6-speed+Rev
\r\ngearbox with fully interchangeable gear ratios. The gearbox is operated via electro-pneumatic paddle shifters
\r\nthat move with the steering wheel so the next gear is always within the driver's reach.
\r\nUtilizing this solution allows for a strong, race-proven gearbox that provides significant weight savings over a
\r\ndual-clutch unit and yet lightening fast gear changes.
\r\nThe powertrain is connected to the wheels by two superalloy lightweight semi-axles, designed by the Austrian
\r\nspecialist Pankl Racing Systems AG.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

—AERODYNAMICS—<\/p>\r\n\r\n

One of the key distinctive features of the Apollo IE is its aerodynamic efficiency which allows it to achieve
\r\nworld-class performances and extreme levels of downforce that far surpasses other cars in its category.
\r\nAt 300km\/h the IE produces over 1,350kg of net downforce. The downforce is properly balanced with 44.5% on
\r\nthe front and 55.5% on the rear.
\r\nThe IE has an aerodynamic efficiency in excess of 3, which places it closer to that of an LMP2 race car than a
\r\nproper GT road car.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

—THE LIMITED RUN—<\/p>\r\n\r\n

To maintain exclusivity, we will only build one sole batch of 10 units of the Apollo IE, each to the highest degree
\r\nof customization requested by its owner.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Those who order the Apollo IE will be granted exclusive access to the Time Attack program, that will be run by
\r\nApollo on the most relevant European racing circuits, and will also gain priority rights to order the future sibling
\r\nof the Apollo IE, the Arrow, which is scheduled to see the light in 2019.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We also offer a unique opportunity for our clients to partake in the fine tuning development process of the IE
\r\nand the development of the future Apollo cars from the beginning. IE owners will be invited to accompany Team Apollo to private testing sessions. This bespoke and personal experience allows IE owners to see what goes on
\r\nbehind the scenes during the development process of a new car and have the opportunity for their input play a
\r\nrole. A privilege only a select few in the world can claim.<\/p>"]
