The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 5-7, 2022 with this year’s eMobility Experience putting a special spotlight on electric-bikes and industry leaders such as Bosch eBike Systems.

eBikes are outpacing cars to be the world’s best-selling electric vehicle (EV). At the show, Bosch eBike Systems discussed the road ahead for eBikes and how the varying applications are paving the way to a more sustainable future from eBike sharing programs, to last-mile delivery solutions, to recreational and commuting options for riders.

As eBikes continue to rise in popularity as an eco-friendly transportation solution, Bosch also emphasized the importance of ensuring products don’t contribute to landfill waste by delivering safe, high quality bikes and motors. While there is no formal safety rating system in the U.S., Bosch eBike Systems motors all meet the qualifications outlined by European standards.

In addition, Bosch eBike Systems was named a CES® 2022 Innovation Award honoree in the “Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation” category for the brand’s new smart system products.

Hear from Claudia Wasko, Vice President of Bosch eBike Systems Americas, who shares how eBikes are inclusive of any type of rider, the importance of maintaining high safety and quality standards, and the rapidly expanding eBike share programs across the U.S.

Chris Nolte, owner of Propel Bikes, also shares how eBike consumers are becoming more educated, and will be looking out for safety and quality standards when selecting an eBike.

Steve Boyd, General Manager, Tern North America, also shares insights on the future of eBike innovation, while emphasizing the importance of safety requirements.
