ALICE 3D scanning systems open door for personalized apparel.
With their ALICE 3D full body scanning systems, 3Dcopysystems digitizes people and large, organic objects within a few milliseconds and at an accuracy of 1mm or less. BIG ALICE as seen during Fashion Innovation Week – an event hosted at FIT by Michael Ferraro, Executive Director of the FIT/Infor Design and Tech Lab- is equipped with 64 high-resolution cameras that capture the subject - static or moving - from 64 different angles. Along with the 3D model, ALICE delivers a high-resolution texture map which is the key factor for a variety of digital 3D applications in fashion, advertising or the gaming and film industry. Additionally 3D scan data can be used for human body measurements and 3D printing.

"The extraordinary quality of our high-resolution 3D scans and the associated texture surprised and inspired the fashion experts at FIT and introduced them to new possibilities for the individualization of fashion products. In the medium term it could revolutionize personalized textile production and the online shopping experience. Partnerships with shopping centers and fashion shows are in the cards, and a few international US companies have expressed their interest in cooperating with us. We are proud to announce that our US business will be led by our distributor, Barton Hetrick from Looking Glass Arts," says Christof Kirschner, managing director of 3Dcopysystems, about his company’s successful start in the United States.

4D scans - next innovation already in test phase.
Moving forward, 3Dcopysystems is working on its next innovation: 4D scanning. This will make it possible to digitize entire movements in an absolutely realistic way –a great means of studying the behaviour of fabrics as they move.

3Dcopysystems - the company.
3Dcopysystems has been developing and selling high-quality mobile 3D scanners in different sizes and resolutions for over three years. The company is represented in the United States by Barton Hetrick, Looking Glass Arts LLC.
