250 debaters representing 50 countries, sets a high standard of how debating can shape future leaders of tomorrow. 

Doha, Qatar, April 11, 2018: Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Foundation (QF), the 4th International Schools Arabic Debating Championship (ISADC) concluded on Wednesday, April 11.

The 4th ISADC, which took place from April 7-11, 2018, featured 250 debaters representing 50 Arabic-speaking and non-Arabic speaking countries.

The final round of the event was held during the closing ceremony, in the presence of the participating teams, guests, and local and international media.

The Turkish - the proposition - team was awarded the championship title, while Lebanese team took second place. The two teams debated the motion, 'This House believes that the intervention of great powers and their political stands is a major cause of the deterioration of third world countries'. Third place went to the Omani team after competing against the Singaporean team.
