British breaststroke sensation Adam Peaty, female superstars Sarah Sjostrom and Katinka Hosszu, and South African dynamo Chad Le Clos are set to compete on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November.

Peaty, a member of the London Roar, is the reigning Olympic champion in the men’s 100 breaststroke, and is the world record holder and World Champion in both the 50 and 100 breast.

Sjostrom (Energy Standard) is the holder of six world records, the most of any swimmer on the planet, and Hosszu (Iron) has five. Both athletes have won match MVP so far in the ISL season.

Le Clos, Sjostrom’s Energy Standard teammate, was the 2012 Olympic champion in the 200 butterfly, defeating Michael Phelps, and is the only swimmer to beat Caeleb Dressel in an individual event so far this season.

Highlighting the Rome-based Aqua Centurions is 2008 Olympic champion and six-time Long Course World Champion Federica Pellegrini.

The match will feature the four European clubs - the London Roar, Energy Standard, Iron and Aqua Centurions - going to battle for the first time.

“We are very pleased to secure streaming coverage with the BBC for the ISL London match,” ISL President Konstantin Grigorishin said. “This agreement shows the great interest that is developing around our ground-breaking professional league that regularly showcases our sport’s stars.”

“We have partnered with premium networks in six continents for the first season of the ISL, and we expect more to come on board as awareness of the league grows amongst sports fans who enjoy this revolutionary competition."

The sport’s biggest stars are competing for eight different clubs (Cali Condors, DC Trident, Aqua Centurions, Energy Standard, LA Current, NY Breakers, Iron, and London Roar), battling for team points over six regular season matches in October and November. The matches have taken place in both the United States and Europe before the season culminates with the Grand Final in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on December 20-21. This will feature the top four teams (two U.S.-based, two Europe-based) battling to become the first-ever ISL Champions.

More than $4 million in appearance money and prize money for clubs and athletes will be awarded during the season. Men and women share equal prize money and media attention as they go to battle for their respective clubs. The ISL is engaging sports fans each weekend with fast-paced two-hour matches, cutting-edge television production, including a unique camera plan and behind-the-scenes access, and a never-before-seen live show.

Approximately 75 percent of all current Olympic and World Champions are competing in the league, led by the 10 ISL ambassadors, Nathan Adrian, Cate Campbell, Caeleb Dressel, Hosszu, Katie Ledecky, Florent Manaudou, Ryan Murphy, Peaty, Pellegrini and Sjostrom.

About the ISL: The International Swimming League is a global professional swimming competition launching in 2019 with teams in both Europe (Italy-based Aqua Centurions, France-based Energy Standard, Hungary-based Iron, and London Roar) and the United States (Cali Condors, DC Trident, LA Current, NY Breakers). The inaugural season will include matches in Indianapolis IN, Naples ITA, Lewisville TX, Budapest HUN, College Park MD, London GBR, and the championship finale at the 12,000-seat Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV. The ISL aims to create groundbreaking projects, in both form and content, exploring the full potential of competitive swimming while securing sustainable commercial growth in the sport.
